| IPR - GDF SUEZ Australia entered the retail electricity market in partnership with EnergyAustralia in 2005. In August 2007, IPR – GDF SUEZ completed a buy out of EnergyAustralia interests in Victoria and South Australia.The company has subsequently launched a new retail brand called Simply Energy which will service the existing customers in these states.Simply Energy is one of Australia’s largest energy suppliers, with almost 400,000 electricity and gas accounts. Simply Energy sells electricity and gas to retail customers in Victoria and South Australia. Customers include residential homes, small and medium businesses and the commercial and industrial sector.
