Kwinana Cogeneration Plant has a long term partnership with the local community which is realised through the annual budgeting of funds for this specific area of the business.

As part of their community support program Kwinana ensure that they support a broad range of areas within the community including welfare, sport and health, education, environment and culture.

Key activities which Kwinana has supported have included:

  • Supporting the Youth Focus Drop-in Centre, Rockingham WA

  • Naming rights sponsor of the Rockingham Flames basketball team (as part of the State Basketball League)

  • Partnering with Rockingham City in support of the Rockingham Spring Festival and the New Years Eve Rockingham Beach Celebration

  • Assisting Green Skills in caring for the environment and assisting in the fight against land degradation

Through all community support activities Kwinana’s aim is to develop and maintain positive relationships with the people of Kwinana, Rockingham and surrounding areas.
